Wednesday Painting
Posted by julie on April 25, 2007
Sorry about the lack of posts these last two days, Dear Guests; I am preparing for a trip this weekend, as well as dealing with PR duties for the upcoming choir concert, and so have not had much time or energy for creativity. I did make it a point, however, to go to my painting class today, so here’s where it stands this week.
To be honest, I’m not sure if it’s that rich in real life, and it’s definitely not that dark, but otherwise it’s not far off.
Posting will be light this weekend. I might have something up tomorrow or Friday, but definitely nothing Saturday as I shall be zooming over the Grand Canyon in a helicopter, followed by a surprise evening event. Anyway, I’ll be taking my camera along, so hopefully Sunday and Monday there will be some great shots of the Grand Canyon and who knows what else.

Wednesday Painting

It still has a ways to go – in real life, it looks quite pastel-ish overall (the camera +Photoshop really makes some colors stand out far more than they do in life), so I need to plan and then go back in with some strong solid color to make it pop. Some things are quite nice, though – I’m happy with the face so far. I discovered today that in the photo you can actually see her teeth. How cool is that!

Finished for Now & New Project
Posted by julie on March 28, 2007
I’m done with this one for now. I’ll probably go back to it at some point, to add more detail to the background or make some adjustments, but it’s time to set it aside and let it marinate…
