  1. How cool! Where did you find this little bit of divine magic?

It was in the lobby of the arts center last week; in the late afternoon, as the sun’s going down it hits the glass doors, the edges of which are apparently at the perfect angle to make these delightful elongated rainbows stretch across the floor. I don’t think anyone else noticed or gave them much more than a cursory glance, but then that’s often the case with things I take pictures of. I love how articulated it is – it’s rare to find the purple standing out so clearly.

A human being is nothing other than a “lens” where the vertical “collides” with the horizontal in the most intense way. – The B’ob

He will hire you to illustrate his next book!

  4. It’s aligned with the tiles so perfectly it’s like someone intentionally designed the refraction like this, but I suppose that’s wishful thinking.

I should restate that. Obviously, the refraction is designed…but not necessarily the placement. 😉

It’s possible they planned it that way, but I’m going with “happy accident.”

Walt, thanks for the compliment 🙂 I dunno, though – I think if Bob hired someone to illustrate his next book, it would be Robin; when you can choose between “decent” and “mastery,” why go with “decent?” Anyway, I don’t think he reads my blog, but I know he stops in at the mOtel.

So few notice. That’s pretty well what Jesus says. They clamor for a sign then ignore it when it comes. “It’s just refraction.”

They can explain it but they never understand it.

    Having eyes they see not.

How ironic that God’s Art appears in an art center.
Thanks, Julie for sharing the best Art with us! :^)
