every inch of dust contains

teeming signs of life

I am guessing that the next couple of months are the best in the desert?

I was noticing on a regional map of drought areas in the western US, your area was not among them — so your hills may be greener than many others.

The green is so short lived. More so there in AZ than here, I’m sure, but what’s left of our hills is greening up as well. We’ve had fairly decent rainfall this year, too. Today I’m stuck with housework (teh suk 😦 ) but I’ll be taking the camera up to the park as soon as I can get a break.

That’s a beautiful scene. We’re under three or four of inches of snow today, the wind is blowing hard, and it’s about 23 degrees. Thursday it was 65.

Thank you for a wonderful reminder of the two short years I lived in the desert. I miss it.

Beautiful! That would make an outstanding scene in a western.
