I’d be happy if I could draw a tree or flower… you do people and so very well too. I’m always amazed at the ability to use a few strokes and there is the basic shape then the details fill in and there’s a picture! Once it’s been done, I see where it comes from, but I can’t make my brain work the right way to get from blank page to your end result.

Maybe it’s just the way it’s hitting me today, but you’ve got some soul in that sketch.

Other news — our grandson — who is supposed to be something over five pounds — is being induced a little early because of our daughter’s escalating blood pressure, and she’s old, too. They started this morning. He should be here this evening or early tomorrow.

  3. julie says:

Oh, I hope everything goes well! That’s both wonderful and terrifying; five pounds is so small!

You guys will be in my prayers.

  4. mushroom says:

Our first granddaughter, this baby’s older sister, was 4lbs-13oz, so 5+ is, I guess, OK. By the way, there is just over a fifteen year gap between the two of them.

  5. julie says:

I guess this is one case where bigger is definitely better.

Re. the age gap, that’s quite a span between kids. Maybe that’s good, though – I hope big sister is excited 🙂

  6. mushroom says:

Micah has arrived. Big sister is on her way to the hospital now along with Grandma. It will be a few days before I get a face-to-face.

Thank you for praying for them.

  7. julie says:

    Wow, that was fast!
    Congratulations, Grandpa 😀

I hope & pray that mother and baby are in good health and good hands.
