Yesterday, I talked about the apparent darkness of space which in truth is completely filled with light. But of course there are also places of true darkness, impenetrable enclosures where no light seeps in from outside. One example of this, of course, would be caves, which many people associate with death, burial and claustrophobia. But another very good one, all too often, is the human heart.
