A Drift

A drift of javelinas, that is. After a long and interesting day, we headed down our street to see a wild pig standing in the road, heedless of the approaching car. Looking to the left, we saw not just one but a whole group – a total of seven adults and two little piglets, lounging on a neighbor’s lawn.

Technically, the javelinas are in the rodent family and are not pigs. Hard to believe, but there is a kids book that Ian loves about the javelina getting mad and saying “I’M NOT A PIG!” Just a fun fact for you!

It is a little crazy to see them wander the neighborhood….you sure it’s not a family out for trick or treats? šŸ™‚
